A workshop titled "Administrative and Financial Corruption: Challenges and Solutions"

was held in the Al-Quds Hall. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ali Fadhel Bayawi, who discussed the pressing issue of administrative and financial corruption—a phenomenon that has become increasingly pervasive, undermining society and leading to stagnation in economic development and growth. Such corruption poses serious threats to the economy, financial stability, and administrative capability, potentially rendering the state incapable of meeting economic challenges and hindering efforts to reconstruct essential infrastructure for development.

Dr. Ali Fadhel elaborated on the primary causes of corruption, detailing its manifestations and underlying factors. He also presented several recommendations and proposals aimed at directly combating and addressing this phenomenon.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Al-Sarraji emphasized the critical role educational and social institutions should play in clarifying the dimensions of this issue. He stressed the importance of religious and ethical awareness, particularly in professional settings, in countering corruption. Prof. Al-Sarraji also highlighted the need for continued workshops of this kind to strengthen efforts against corruption.
