"Professors and students from the Biomedical Engineering Department participate in the Scientific Products Exhibition at the University of Baghdad."
Professor and students from the Biomedical Engineering Department participated in the university's dedicated pavilion at the Scientific Products Exhibition held at the University of Baghdad, on the occasion of the Annual Conference of the Arab Universities Union.
They showcased several outstanding graduation projects from the fifth stage, in addition to two patent applications submitted by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Mahmoud Ali. These projects were distinguished by their integration of medical sciences and engineering, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as improving quality of life. The projects were suitable for the needs of the job market and received significant attention from representatives of Arab and Iraqi universities, as well as esteemed attendees.
The pavilion was visited by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Khulud Salah Khushan.

In light of activating mutual cooperation with private universities and colleges, the Department of Biomedical Engineering welcomed a group of students from the University of the Prophets' Heirs/Department of Biomedical Engineering, accompanied by a select group of faculty members:
- Dr. Osama Abdulbari
- Dr. Saad Mahmoud
- Mr. Fares Kareem
They were received by the department's head, Professor Dr. Wisam Kazem, along with the academic assistant Professor Dr. Janan Star Star, and the administrative assistant, Dr. Hussein Jameel, in addition to the department's staff.
A visit to the department's laboratories was organized, where they observed laboratory experiments and academic curricula. They also visited the training center, laboratories, and the Nano-Technology Center. Discussions were held regarding activating mutual cooperation at the undergraduate level and in research work. Discussions with the heads of scientific branches were also conducted regarding academic curricula and their importance in preparing students for the job market.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the administrative assistant, Professor Dr. Farhad Mohammed Osman, who welcomed the students and the accompanying staff.
